But she has the qualification, isn't she still bound by some kind of professional standard? Doctors and engineers would be.
Nah. That kind of thing is for ordinary folk, not Tory ministers.

She isn't a working barrister
Good to see the Home Sec using all her experience as a barrister to avoid influencing an ongoing murder trial. Even if some of what she says is true, she should not be seen to be commenting on a live case.

No, it’s a direct response to the start of a murder case, with the strong implication that the officer should not be prosecuted. This tweet is not a comment on an ongoing court case, it's a fairly anodyne remark about armed coppers.
Us discussing the issues and forming a view is one thing; as the Home Sec she has a duty to be far more careful in her public pronouncements. They mustn’t fear ending up in the dock for carrying out their duties.
Officers risking their lives to keep us safe have my full backing & I will do everything in my power to support them.

In her defence, I seem to remember that her background was property and contract law, so she may not be acquainted with the expected behaviour re criminal proceedings.
She was the Attorney General.
My post may have been missing a sarcasm tag.
Mine too.
Perhaps, where Braverman is mentioned, sarcasm should be assumed.
