I'd be surprised if more than 10% of the population know the law regarding electric bikes & scooters. The government is too dysfunctional to act to restrict sales, and I'm sure they'd see it as dangerously socialist in any case.

Young lad NOT being followed by police crashes into ambulance.

Young lad who had previously been followed by police but had ridden down bollarded street police could not go down.

Which is exactly what happened last time.
The young lads know where the bollards are, and use them to their advantage.

Oh dear.
Looks like it’s happened again, in almost identical circumstances.
Young lad being followed by police has died.
But this time crashed into an ambulance.

True, almost identical, youth, riding illegal electric moped, so carelessly that they crash into stationary object, and, are, unfortunately killed.

Not so much carelessly as fast
the percentage of people killed by collisions at slow speeds is very low
up the speed and the percentage goes up even faster

I suspect - and we have no evidence of this - that the electric motorbike was going at significant speed

Fear of the chase wouldn't instantly subside because the police were temporarily stymied by the bollards.

So was it the fault of the Police in your opinion and would you be happier if they were ignored and left alone instead?

Fear of the chase is the deceased problem not the police.

Are you really suggesting that the police should not try to apprehend criminals because the criminal may fear the police chasing them?
