Nothing at all but it has everything to do with your statement:-

This is the definition of self-centred. If you care about your children and grandchildren, you care about who is running the country and what they are doing to them. They have already taken away your children's rights to work in other countries, have made it harder for them to buy property, have lowered their wages in real terms etc. This is real, lasting, damage that the Government is doing.

But - as long as you are OK...

That 'etc' could run to several pages...

This all started with me using the term scumbags?

Yes, but you made several posts after. It didn't go from you saying 'scumbags' to icowden quoting your own 'I'm all right jack" attitude back at you.

So just remind me why my choice of political party has anything to do with the fact I see people as scumbags and you don't?

I assume it's because I vote Tory and it's their fault people break the law that makes me solely responsible?

And if so I shouldn't call them scumbags, got it now.

Simple answer to all this, get Labour in next time and in about (5 yrs I think it takes) we'll all be living in dreamland with zero crime, low inflation, high wages and not a scumbag in sight.

I can't wait!

Apart from voting differently to me what have you been doing to safeguard the future of your grandchildren then?

Tell me what 'actions ' you take to improve this country.

I'm all ears.

I have no particular problem with you calling some individual a scumbag. It's when you label a group of people just on the basis of their address or social class that it turns into unhelpful prejudice.

Once again, I didn't did I?

I lived amongst these people and neither I, my parents or grandparents were scumbags so you know full well what I was saying.

When one does, then. It was a general point.

I am sure I have heard many unflattering labels attached to members of "upper" social classes and former public school pupils on this forum and others.

Politics and social media thrives on prejudice and rarely will anyone agree that their prejudice is unhelpful
