She's not resigning until she finds out why she was off the honours list...
Why would that honours list now not be wiped ?

Private Eye summed it up quite well:-
It is customary for the Eye to point out some of the more cronyish and undeserving recipients of higher honours. But with Boris Johnsons's resignation list it would be easier to list those who did not fall into this category. Out of 38 honours (excluding peerages) a mere 5 were for mere "public service" (plus one for the "parliamentary services" of Johnson's hairdresser).

And why do people with a background like hers no longer have the ability to climb socially progressive ladders?

She improved her lot in life. Well done her. Quite why she thinks that should deserve further reward and acknowledgement I don't know. Surely starting off poor and ending up wadded is reward enough in itself. As CC says, perhaps better to ask whether she has used her improved status in life to help others starting out in a similar position. Evidence of that might be worthy of acknowledgement in an individual.

The Lords is the easy money scam. Most there, I assume are crooks. Birds of a feather. Both habitual liars.

If the allowance wasn't £300 a day just for signing in, and the gourmet meals and wine weren't massively subsidised, how many would actually turn up? They should link the 'works canteen' to attendance at debates. You get a dinner ticket every time you sit through one. It works in schools. Poor attenders don't get to go on the end of year Thorpe Park trip. If it doesn't work we've still saved money on giving subsidised lunch to rich people. Or just replace the restaurant food with council school dinners, see if that works at weeding out the ones who are there for a free ride.
