@multitool just pointed out to you that do to that you have to take on the debt. If you did that for all water companies, that's 70bn or so of debt.
That's a lot of mazola.

But the debt has been visited upon us. We're paying it off through extortionate water bills while the infrastructure rots and the shit flows.
Are we back to 'too big to fail'?

What's this mazola? I googled it
A social gathering in which the people lather themselves in cooking oil (such as Mazola), and participate in sexually permissive activities.

Anyhow where did this debt come from - that can also be Googled. Watcha gonna do about it Keith?

This is a good point, but the consensus seems to be that you can't legally get that money back when it was legally taken. As for letting it fai land go bankrupt that's going to upset the employees and nuke the pension fund I think.

With a massive majority such as Keir has, can't he just change the "legalities"? Might be a bit complicated deciding how far down the "tree" to go to recover the loot of course. Will they pursue the Pension Funds with investments in Water Companies, will they pursue those individuals whose Pension Funds have investments in Water Companies?

Those mega dividends are simply asset stripping at work. Any legislation will come too late.

And the mega electricity bills most of us have are part down to offshore wind turbines, them costing over double onshore. The other part was the casino style minimal regulation for which we now have a levy.

I can't find any figures for individual water companies (except Thames). It would appear that approximately 28% of Thames Water consumers bills go to service debt, but, I can't find figures for the rest. OFWAT gives to total debt as £60billion.

Riiiiiiight. It's OK to go round glad-handing Ratko Mladic during the Srebrenica massacre, as long as you also meet with a handful of approved Bosniaks. Got you.
I'm not sure that was what was suggested. When politicians or monarchs meet world leaders there are protocols.
