Again, I think this is trying to drag a story out from where there is none. The only "link" is to the Quadrature Climate Foundation which is a charitable venture started by Quadrature Capital. Kyte is a member of the advisory board which has no decision making powers precisely because of her leadership and knowledge in the climate space.

You could also paint it as - it's better to have an envoy with knowledge who has a seat at the table. Obviously Quadrature themselves donated money to get links with labour to lobby for policies that will favour them - that's the dodgy bit. The fact that they own the charity is a strong link etc.

But it's the way the Government has to work apparently. The alternative would be to refuse the donations and lose the election so that we have the real grifters and trough waders in charge.

You only have to look at the US to see how it escalates up into absolute absurdity, where the presidential election in 2020 cost $6.5 billion and the congressional election $9.9 billion.

We don’t wish to follow the USA route do we?, so, the sooner we stop the drift in that direction, the better, is it not?

I see you read the same web page as I did 😊
Given that he does appear to have been born with the proverbial “silver spoon”, it seems reasonable to think that without the Investment Banker loot, the subsequent loot raising exploits would not/could not have happened.
I think you may have missed a "not" there. Also based on my reading of Private Eye which details a lot of other lobbying from companies but doesn't have anything really about Lord Alli - which rather suggests that they are unable to find enough of interest for an article.

You are correct, should read "does not" ;)

I take it you have not seen this week's PE (1633) front cover?

It's as if the body-snatching parasite that hollowed 'tool out to a shrill apologist for the indefensible has migrated to another host.
Might we all be in danger?

I doubt it.

At least @icowden is making rational points. multz would have found a way to rationalise all the reasonable criticisms being levelled at Starmer and Labour.

So, have we decided that these donations are made from the purest of motives, merely to enable Keir & Ko to steer us to the promised socialist paradise?

Not even Starmer would promise an oxymoron.

Surely you must allow for the possibility that you're not the only morally perfect soul in these fair isles Ian?
