Absolute bullsh1t...my values have changed 🙄
Those are my values, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

Who said anything about not wanting power...it's more what's the point if it's more of the same.
To he fair he did have some "genius" moments this morning.Who needs a GP when you can just Google your own symptoms.

Is he channeling Truss the Brief now. That quote is jus jaw dropping stupid. If you have internal bleeding you don't want a referral, you want to be in A&E sharpish.

It was a very odd remark. I'd already seen a reference to it yesterday, and it seemed to be something to do with availability of kits to detect internal bedding. So perhaps it was about detecting if you have internal bleeding, rather than having internal bleeding and self-diagnosing the cause.

If what he actually meant was the availability of a self administered test for blood in stools then you can see where he's coming from but he needs to make himself clear.

I wasn't keen on the 'captain hindsight' label but if he's blaming Covid, the war in Ukraine and the Tories mishandling the economy then he's got sh*t all foresight.

He's made himself perfectly clear what he stands for....that's the bit I don't like.

If political truth is distilled down to soundbites you end up with a meaningless discussion.

I'm not keen on those 30s clips from interviews, they rarely have context. However...

The pandemic was inevitable. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014. The Tories were in charge of the economy at the point Starmer was elected.

Nothing has changed. These things are constants. Particularly health policy should not be wrong footed by a disease, that's what the health service is for, it's kind of the reason we have it.

It does appear to be the case that Starmer and Streeting are going to run with this crazy self-referral nonsense. I'm on here this morning because I feel a bit crap and can't be bothered to get out on my bike - maybe I'll refer myself to a specialist this afternoon, just in case I've got terminal cancer.

Oof that's a cheeky bit of sophistry. By definition, all you said is true, but 'inevitably' tells us nothing about the timing and the impact of a pandemic. Nor did the Russian annexation of Crimea mean that a full invasion was likely.

2019 was a period of English self-absorbtion post-2016 referendum and pre-actual Brexiting. Nobody expected or foresaw being confined to our homes for two periods of 3/4 months, a health service that had to abandon routine healthcare, and energy prices that would more than double.

Starmer is holding a curate's egg, and whilst most realise this, many are still viewing the world through the prism of post-truth brexitism.
