Not really. “Walking out” implies that one party stops negotiating. The phrase I think you should have used was “taking a planned break” but of course that doesn’t suit your narrative, does it?
It wasn't a planned break according to Mick Lynch.

The interview he gave to LBC he said that he walked out because he had to speak to his membership, it wasn't planned.

So no overtime and finish on time, take breaks etc?

That still means people die.
It’s not the RMT’s fault that hospitals are so understaffed that they cannot save lives without requiring people to work beyond their contract terms.

This isn't about your decision, or how you made it, but about how many others cannot/do not make an informed choice, so follow the advice of people they trust.
For feck sake not everyone who voted leave got it "wrong"
It was their choice !

If the Brexit fantasy that the RMT were proposing in 2016 had come true then there would be no need to strike.

  1. Leave the EU to end attacks on rail workers
  2. Leave the EU to end attacks on seafarers and the offshore workers
  3. Leave the EU to end attacks on workers’ rights
  4. Leave the EU to end Austerity
  5. Leave the EU to stop the attack on our NHS
  6. Leave the EU to support democracy

I support the strikes but this is a GBD government so to a certain extent the RMT has made their bed and should lie in it. And no boohooing about how they supported Corbyn and this wasn't the Brexit they wanted. This is Brexit and they played a part in us getting to where we are. Now has a single one of their six reasons come true?

Not under a Tory government it hasn't.

Yes. In some cases their choice to listen to the views of their TU.

Where did I say that people who voted Leave got it wrong? To save you looking the correct answer is I didn't.

You don’t think he should have consulted with colleagues outside the meeting room?
No. He is their leader, what was he going to do, organise another ballot?

He has the mandate, and the close advisors in the room with him, get the hell on with it and stop stalling for time. He can hardly do what he did on Wednesday then claim the rail operators are stalling the negotiations can he?

Now, you do you want to apologise for calling me a liar a few posts ago when it is clear I wasn't lying? Or don't we do that on here when we screw up so publicly?

We need to stop blaming individuals for systemic problems. I'm going home at five. If that causes a problem then my boss can deal with it. If not then her boss can deal with it. Then her boss. All the way up to the chief executive and then the bloody Health Secretary for all I care. I didn't put the management and staffing structure in place and it's not my responsibility to deal with it if it all goes tits up.

Of course sometimes my boss deals with it by asking me to stay late but you can be damn sure I'm claming that time back.

Now this is true, but the topic has broadened a bit hasn't it?

Do you think medical types should be able to walk out? Would you be happy for your children to die in the cause of a 7% pay increase for me and winjim?
