What percentage of uk workers are in a union that told it's members to vote leave, now how many of those went against that and voted remain.First ones me.....
Stop playing into the right wing media slurs of he's a Brexiteer,Stone him !
It's a pointless argument.

Stop your usual tactic of twisting what people say because they disagree with you.

Your first sentence is irrelevant and completely misses the point, but no surprises there.
The second sentence is complete rubbish as I am not playing into any "slurs" about him being a Brexiter. He is/was a Brexiter.

The argument is only pointless because you refuse to accept that, just because you make up your own mind about Brexit, other people may have not have been so well informed.

A bit "me, me, me" isn't that, I thought Unions were supposed to be a collective organisation?

Whatever. It's literally a statement of fact. If you want to dredge the thread for all the times I've said I support the strikes and joining a union, and expressed solidarity then go ahead.

Edit: also change 'I' to 'we' if that makes you feel any better. We all got screwed over, not just me.

Do you think when they was recommending voting leave they had Johnsons hard Brexit in mind ?
Think I'm done with the Brexit thing in this thread,i can't be arsed.
If you use this to beat Lynch and the Unions your playing into their hands.

Oi. I said no boohooing. They wanted Brexit and they got Brexit. I'm not trying to beat anyone, I'm pointing put that unions sometimes act in ways which are not in the best interests of their members. I'm a trade union member and I feel it's my place to criticise the unions if that's how I feel. Sometimes they're a bit rubbish.

No. He is their leader, what was he going to do, organise another ballot?

He has the mandate, and the close advisors in the room with him, get the hell on with it and stop stalling for time. He can hardly do what he did on Wednesday then claim the rail operators are stalling the negotiations can he?

Now, you do you want to apologise for calling me a liar a few posts ago when it is clear I wasn't lying? Or don't we do that on here when we screw up so publicly?

He could have close advisers with him, but he may have felt he needed the views of his fellow officers/reps about the offer. That is not stalling for time, it is what often happens when one side represents a large membership and the other is part of a company management team, especially, as in this case, one being overseen by the government.

You have shown on another thread that you have a very flexible approach to the definition of a lie, so your calls for an apology are no surprise.

Twisting what people say...you don't like what I've got to say ? Tough.
So fecking what the RMT backed Brexit....in case it slipped your notice so did a lot of voters !
Workers deserve better pay and conditions regardless of how they voted in the referendum.
Brexit is as toxic now as it was then.

How's that 'ideologically perfect' union rep/politician going to work for you in future elections ? Would you only vote for someone who voted remain or says they'll take us back in the EU ?

I would literally be better off if I'd never joined, to the tune of about two and a half grand.

I've lived in Celine Towers for nearly 30 years. Every year I buy buildngs and contents insurance. My house has never been burgled, flooded, subsided, blown away or burned to the ground.
I would literally be better off if I'd never taken out insurance to the tune of many thousands of pounds.

But there's a lot more to being a union member than strikes and pay deals.

Yes if you look back through the thread you can probably find the post where I say exactly that.
