Some nice news at what is otherwise a pretty grim time news wise. New blood cancer treatment holds out hope of a cure even in advanced cases that don't respond to other treatments.

Article on my phone earlier today reported that Biontech who developed the mNRA vaccine against corona are using the technique against cancer with early studies showing promising results.

Seems to be being done in conjunction with the approach outlined in the BBC piece.

I did wonder if the work on the virus might accelerate research on other illnesses. It would be wonderful if it did. Something positive out of something so awful.

That's fantastic news. Closing ticket offices is a real kick in the teeth for disabled travellers and vulnerable people. Would make it really difficult for them to travel independently on some lines.
