You can't impeach someone if they haven't done anything wrong.

The best bit IMHO is that the indictment includes direct quotes from Trump himself about how classified documents should be protected, that is is essential that those rules should not be broken and that no one should be above the law. He clearly forgot to exclude himself.

As for the other people who knew about the boxes and knew what they were doing was illegal, they will be the ones singing like canaries in order to avoid jail time.

Why not it happens? The dictators through history had their opponents put in prison or executed. If they were lucky spared and exiled.

That's not impeachment. Impeachment is charging a holder of public office with misconduct (historically that included treason). If you are not holding a fair judicial hearing of some sort it doesn't count as impeachment. It's just killing people.

They have wrongly charged people to smear them out of contention also. The powerful have the power to write history.
