I get that public servants abusing their position is a serious crime, but what about the motive? It's not stated that he made any personal gain from this crime.

Swift has increasingly become a figure of dislike, sometimes bordering on hate, among MAGA supporters. Largely because of her support of LGBTQ rights and her opposition to the removal of women's rights. But also because she is a powerful woman, with a high public profile, which has increased because of a tour and her relationship with well known American football player.
Her fans/followers, who I believe are known as swifties, could form a potent voting force in the US elections.

It's almost as though there is a group of Republican leaning American's who feel threatened by a strong, wealthy, independent woman and feels that they should be doing the dishes, cooking meals and raising good Christian kids. I do wonder, if social media had been around 60 years ago, whether Dolly Parton would have found herself equally villified.

Being unmarried at 34 seems to feature quite a lot. I love DP but I think she would have faced a barrage of conservative abuse if Twitter and FB had been a thing in the 70's, for her clothes alone probably. She's been very successful in managing her public image and keeping her privacy though.

I think it's hard not to like DP - and again, she is her own woman, running her own business empire. She may be all pink and rhinestones on the outside, but like Swift, she is a force to be reckoned with. She has also donated hundreds of millions of books to ensure kids learn to read, and helped fund one of the Covid vaccines (Moderna).

You're not wrong. I was going with apparently a far too subtle porn based joke.

But yeah, she's cool. Did a duet with Kid Rock recently, and even though he sounds far too much like Steven Tyler on it, it's still a great track.
