Tactical victory lol.....

He did get what he wanted, ie, Brexit. Wasn't that a victory (for him)?

Isn't it possible to admire someone's achievements, without. necessarily agreeing with them?

For (personal) example, I admire Nicola Sturgeon, not because I agree with her views/objectives, but, I do admire what she has achieved.
Sorry, what? You think there’s an equivalence between admiring the achievements of a democratically elected politician and the dictatorial head of a Mafia-like state that repeatedly wages war on its neighbours?

If only your man had achieved so much, the world would have been saved.
Did I say that ? But now your on it do you not see the irony. We were told that Corbyn was sympathetic to Russia because it was communist/Marxist etc but it's the Conservatives that have had massive donations from Russian billionaires.
But your right we dodged a bullet there!
Speaks volumes your admiration of Nige

Similarly, as a Remain voter, I very much disagree with, and, deplore Farage, but, he did achieve a tactical victory, despite being a total
I am convinced that you did not intend to end this sentence the way you did, so I will not quote the full version.

Out of respect, you understand.

I really hope there were some Chernobyl thrill-seekers illicitly smoking weed in an exclusion zone high-rise flat, when they heard a rumbling in the distance, then the rattle of caterpillar tracks ...

For an inconsequential artist and Lance Corporal in WW1 I quite admire Hitler's achievements over the next 25 years.

Sheesh.

Maybe it's you that has the thing with being far left or far right ?
Yes I do. Both are equally deluded and dangerous.
That depends on where you draw the line at being on the right. Based on elections in the UK we are around 50/50 and he is a poster boy for a small subset of the right. A small subset on the left find it difficult to criticise him.
I don't want to speak for fishfright but I'm not sure I've seen or read him supporting Putin, just putting a view across.
That's all any of us can do. My view is he is in the wrong, others may disagree but unless they say so we cannot know what they think.
Far too sensible to be far left or far right deary me
I genuinely believe those who have far right or far left views are not living in the real world, but in some fantasy, self-indulgent world of their own.

I'm not sure what your definition of either is. But have we ever had a far left goverment or a far right one ?

50/50 of what ? You keep spouting this but where are the Putin supporters on the left....I've seen the likes of Trump,Bannon coming out in support but nobody really who I wouldn't describe as a crank ! As I said he's a poster boy for the right.

Such a odd thing to say when we have the likes of Johnson and his Russian donors whilst in the past we had Blair/ Mandleson who were champions of Putin ?

In what way an 'underdog'?

Despite an unbroken run of electoral defeats (including at the hands flippers of a man in a dolphin suit), he was given a ridiculous amout of publicity and afforded an enormous amount of airtime - notably by the BBC, who had him on Queston Time 35 times, where he was the show's most regularly featured guest in its history.

If blanket exposure and and a regular platform from which to spout his lies and bile, frequently unchallenged, count for anything, then it's hardly surprising he was able to be instrumental in dragging this country down into the filth it presently wallows in.
