Johnson continues to troll the country by appointing Peter Bone as deputy leader of the house. I don't know whether there's ever been a deputy leader before but it wasn't even a vacancy.

I wonder what new role he has for Jenny Tailyer.

There hasn't been a deputy leader of the commons since 2019. So it wasn't long ago that it was a "thing" but it is slightly odd that Johnson chooses now to re-instate it.

It may be that Johnson is rewarding loyalty by giving jobs to his followers and selecting roles where these idiots cannot do too much damage. The pay-off for the followers being a nice payoff when the next no. 10 incumbent inevitably kicks him to the back benches again.

He tried to get her a job, which seems about right knowing his previous track record.
She apparently confronted Johnson in 2017 and put it on a complaint on record.
I wonder how many more of these sorry tales will emerge.

I don't know enough about Sri Lankan politics to comment really but the pictures from Colombo make claims of a 'baying mob' outside No 10 look utterly ridiculous, as if they didn't already.
