I'm not sure he really wanted to be an MP any more then he really wanted to be PM. The vanity of it appealed but he didn't really want the actual doing it bit. I think he knows there's far more lucrative opportunities out there as an ex PM and having a pesky constituency to manage would interfere with that.

Plus it gives him the chance to give Rishi a good headache as payback for not backing him last year. Loverly chap Mr de Pfeffel, isn't he.

He loved the attention. But he proved time and time again when the heat is on, he runs for the hills. Nothing more than a disgruntled, petulant coward...

Actually, I think it is best when they stay out of running the Country, fighting among themselves is just fine, IMHO. ;)

Apparently there is almost no business being done in parliament at the moment and the chamber is closing early most days.
MPs were complaining that the government have no legislation that they are bringing.

Postponed. I wouldn’t put it past Starmer to sign off on Dacre, if not Johnson.

No. 10's press secretary has said that Sunak passed Johnson's list on to holac without changes so turned down would seem correct, assuming the secretary was telling the truth. Assuming is doing a lot of work here, admittedly.
