Yet more Tory sleaze….

Word on the street is that Munira Mirza has become the latest rat to scuttle off the sinking ship. Not an MP but still another blow to him.

Edit: now confirmed in the Independent.

Boris Johnson’s policy chief has quit because of his attempted smear of Keir Starmer over Jimmy Savile’s crimes, in a devastating blow to his authority.

Munira Mirza condemned “an inappropriate and partisan reference to a horrendous case of child sex abuse”, in a resignation letter.

I believe it was wrong for you to imply this week that Keir Starmer was personally responsible for allowing Jimmy Savile to escape justice,” she has written, in a letter revealed by The Spectator.
“There was no fair or reasonable basis for that assertion. This was not the usual cut and thrust of politics.”

Lol ....I'll have a glass of what she's been on !
Mirza via @spectator 'You are a better man than many of your detractors will ever understand which is why it is so desperately sad that you let yourself down by making a scurrilous accusation against the Leader of the Opposition.’

Mirza seems angry that Johnson didn't apologise, as she had been urging. So he loses Mirza and has to retract the accusation anyway. He appears to have turned it into a lose-lose situation.

Meanwhile, the Good Law Project have just got their hands on a big leak.

It might be worthwhile subscribing to their email list. Though I have a feeling that it's going to appear on here anyway.

As I said before the Saville slur seems like playground stuff to me,but if that's what it takes to get people angry at him it's fine by me.

I’m not sure I’m comfortable with their attempt to expand their mailing list by teasing us in this way.
There's only so much excitement I can take on a Thursday afternoon....
Where was all the outrage at the slurs and lies thrown at Corbyn ?
Seems like it's only when it suits.

They were only playground stuff or, as with the lie/insult about Starmer, is that only when it suits?

Compare and contrast.
Ive said it a few times in the grander scheme of things it seems minor....desperate almost.Im suprised that there's the outrage over it to be honest.
Now compare that with the downright fecking lies and smears that was thrown at Corbyn...I didn't see many having any morals there ?
