Isnt it funny, biggest story over the last 24 hours, no one has piped up about it.

The Reform activist, who turns out to be an actor, which miraculously caught by Ch4 on film talking rough.

Coincidentally happened to talk rather well, on his website, but advertised rough speaking- there is a clip of him doing said accent

Denied he was an actor when questioned , then admitted he was later.

Happens to have worked for Ch4 too in the past.

Sunak fell for it, all over the press.

Are the establishment getting nervous?

What? So actors can't hold political views?

When actors come out in support of Labour are they 'acting'?

Are you seriously suggesting that there is no such thing as a racist actor?

Why is thinking that Reform supporters are racists just so believable?

Why are you so keen to delegitimise this story? Do you think racists don't exist in Reform despite the overwhelming evidence?

Also the police are investigating his comments so I’m sure they will find out all the facts.

If a person was opening saying those, is either a complete and utter idiot, or its a set up. If the police do drag him in to investigate.

Do you think that there aren't people - when they think they are in the company of fellow minds - who not only hold these views but will espouse them freely? Hell, there are people more than willing to say similar things on camera or in a public or semi-public setting. See stories around Tory donor and Diane Abbott.

The fact he is an actor will be only relevant if he was specifically acting those views. If he is a Reform activist who happens to be an actor then being an actor is no more relevant than if he was a cook or an astronaut. We have Laurence Fox - an actor and quite a successful one - venting all manner of views very freely, I doubt he is acting them.

Reform - specifically Nigel Farage - is a master of gaining airtime to voice grievances both real and imaginary. They are far less effective at offering palatable or workable solutions and tend to fall apart at first exposure to any scrutiny.

Reform is sitting around 16%. Probably half of that are die-hard Reform voters who are unaffected (and probably agree) with any of the nastier comments from Reform activists and candidates. The other 6-8% are people for whom Reform rhetoric and concerns around topics such as immigration strike a chord but for whom some of the commentary from Reform and Farage would be deeply concerning.

Farage's Ukraine / Russia comments highlight something interesting. A good section of his Reform voter base believe Putin is a malevolent force who must be countered. Farage either doesn't care about this, or more likely, doesn't understand this. He is transferring Trump talking points and positions into UK politics where the geography alone makes attitudes very different. It is quite hard to have an isolationist policy when Kyiv is 3 hours flight from Heathrow.

Can't argue with that, in a way...

I think CXRA is saying that, if he's cunning enough not to voice those views openly, there can't possibly be anyone more stupid, so it must be a set-up.

Farage is sticking to the subject of immigrants, choosing to ignore the economical catastrophe of Brexit.

Interestingly, he is not as insanely repetitive as Trump was in his debate. However Farage is a good bit younger than 'one liner' Trump.
Actually, Trump now has a second line, 'revenge', though that is probably being used as a stick to threaten his sentencer/s.

Seems Farage is boycotting the BBC and Question Time.
Too many Tory plants and not enough Reform plants in the audience?
Even more farcical, he is reporting C4 saying one of his canvassers was just a C4 plant, rather than being your typical activist Reform supporter.
