Oh I’m not. I believe that if this government unfairly holds back awards to public sector workers again, it will have no option but to reduce the pension rise. The only things stopping them are the fear of being accused of making a u-turn and the fact that they rely on old people for their votes.

It would not be a new move. The so called "triple lock" was adjusted to a dual lock, when the third option looked like it was going to pay out a significant rise in State Pensions, so, there is a precedent (if one is needed).

Train drivers are already on an average of £23 an hour, so why are they striking?
I said "minimum wage"....why are you so fixated on train drivers ? Is it something you'd like to have done maybe ? What about all the other staff cleaners, guards etc.

Because levelling up is a policy of the Tory party, except when it comes to people earning a decent wage when it suddenly becomes levelling down.
Agreed and it pisses me off.Everybody suddenly wants to be on the side of the workers/Mick Lynch....except if it's going to cost them anything !
We've had feck knows how many years of the same old sh1te and it's worse than ever....the most corrupt goverment we've seen and people still try to defend it.Theres no such thing as leveling up and never has been, not with Blair or the Tories !

Aren't train drivers in a different onion?
Onion lol...is that the start of a pun fest!
I guess you mean ASLEF which a lot of drivers are represented by.Bob Crowe was a great recruiter for the RMT though ^_^
Edited to add it's the reason the Tories/Shapps try to bundle them together for "average wages" !

My understanding is that the RMT’s members are the signallers, maintenance crews, cleaners etc who help keep the trains running and it’s they who are going on strike. Train drivers aren’t represented by RMT but by ASLEF. Many of ASLEF’s members haven’t had a pay rise since 2019 so that‘s probably why they are joining their colleagues on strike. Even if they didn’t strike themselves, I can’t see them crossing picket lines.

CWS, obviously.

How long before Lynch is a antisemite 🙄

Television is a modern technological marvel. To get video from a camera into our home takes some of the most advanced systems using many standards that have taken years for engineers to design. It requires high speed processing of vast amounts of video data coupled with advanced image processing techniques to produce the sort of graphics and pictures that we now take for granted. Large sums of money and specialist expertise are utilised.

I believe John Logie Baird himself said, when he generated the first moving picture on a screen, "one day, this technology could even be used so some obnoxious daffodil can be seen asking inane questions about the significance of a photo of a plastic puppet"

Welcome yourself into the new modern crisis
He's doing well so far but I do hope Lynch, and other trade unionists, are prepared for what's to come. I fear this is only the beginning of a massive intrusion into his private life and personal history. They're gonna go after him, big time.
