There are 8 candidates. None of these candidates has a prayer of winning. Votes for them will therefore be in favour of the Conservative Candidate:-
  • Jordan Donoghue-Morgan, Heritage Party
  • Andy Foan - Reform UK
  • Liz Pole - Labour
  • Frankie Rufolo - The For Britain Movement
  • Ben Walker - UK Independence Party
  • Gill Westcott - Green Party
  • Richard Foord - Liberal Democrats
  • Helen Hurford - Conservative

I'm disappointed that neither John Deere or Massey Ferguson are standing in this election.

It’s by Election Day today.
All three main English parties have an interest.
Labour will be hopefully of winning up north. If they don’t then they have no hope going forward.
Lib Dems are hopefully of putting the cat amongst the pigeons down south, but have a huge majority to over turn.
The conservatives will just be hopeful of holding on by the skin of their teeth and celebrating a historic win.

And if/when the Tories lose they will invoke the D-day spirit, plucky soldiers that they are.

Well, I've voted. Tina in the butchers said her customers were about 50-50. There will now be a short intermission until sometime tomorrow.
To keep you amused, here's another extract from the Heritage Party's manifesto.
There is no climate emergency. Carbon dioxide is a natural atmospheric gas; it is not a pollutant, nor is it harmful. Human activity contributes very little towards global warming, a phenomenon caused by naturally occurring gases in the atmosphere such as H2O, CO2 and CH4. The adherence to green ideology is scientifically spurious and economically insane
