They seem to effect an unfortunate gravitational pull on British politics generally.

It’s been mentioned a few time on here.
LD and Green both won considerably numbers of seats.
Reform picked up 2 seats, yet are getting so much media coverage. It’s strange how these things work isn’t it.

Whilst I agree, Reform are the media's 'new kid on the block' and driving the division in the Tory party and their voters. It's not surprising that they (wrongly IMO) get more coverage at the moment than the LD (possibly the dullest party in the field) and the Greens who remain eminently sensible but are unlikely to make greater inroads at the next GE than they have in the past.

No, but they could make things *very* bad for the Conservatives. We saw that a bit in the local elections. What seems to happen is that the traditional Tory vote gets split 50/50 between the Tory candidate and the Reform UK candidate - so both do badly and allow the Labour candidate or Lib Dem to take the seat.
At the moment the Cons are predicted to win between 30 and 211 seats with the most likely number being around 85. For Labour the range is 351 to 545 with the most likely amount being around 472. Lib Dems 19 to 61 - most likely 50. Reform on the other hand are predicted 0 to 21 with most likely being 0. Greens are 0 to 4 with most likely 2.

Now this prediction is based on Polling from April. It will be interesting to see the May update which will take into account the recent local elections.

I can see why Farage is steering well clear of Reform. It likely needs the total death of the Conservative party for it to generate any income.
